BUILDING AN EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION

Effective communication is one of the keys for the success of a project. Young and advanced geoscientists, as well as team leaders and managers, will improve their skills in illustrating their activities, providing a clear, direct and constructive feedback, enhancing the priority messages, illustrating the pro and cons, providing clear recommendations and conclusions, illustrating possible way forward, respecting a given time frame for their presentation, and lot more.

1. Run effective synthesis of the work
2. Select the best images and write the clearest messages
3. Generate simple but self-explanatory slides on power-point software
4. Training and get familiar with standing presentation
5. Share knowledge and experiences

Attendants will learn through live classes, exercises and a booklet. They will build and run their own presentation, alone and in team, starting from data selection, generating slides, writing texts to illustrate the project, the goals, the results and the conclusions. 
Each participant will run simulations of the presentation (dry runs) in front of the other attendants and the teacher, to improve their communication skills before an audience.
Open and friendly discussion about different performances will take place at the end of the course. 
All documents are provided.

No specific requirement for this course that can take place in any meeting room with validated HSE characteristics, in your company premises or elsewhere.

Two days (14-16 hours) is the ideal time. The course can be shortened or lengthened according to the request.
