Learn the basics and/or advanced concepts on the economic, strategic and scientific aspects of natural hydrogen exploration and perspectives.
This indoor course is especially designed to give attendees a global overview of natural hydrogen, a methodology from basin analysis to play definition and key for the prospect evaluation. It will accelerate their understanding of the exploration process and speed up their autonomy to exploration process and research program.
This course also looks at the place of natural hydrogen and its integration into the global economy and society. It offers keys to understanding the ecosystem and strategies for derisking investments in the sector.
The field trip will give you an overview of a complete hydrogen system from the kitchen to the reservoir, integrating geology, geophysics, and geochemistry. Direct access to emblematic outcrops will help your understanding of what is an active natural hydrogen system. This system has given 2 explorations licences. Training in soil gas analysis including artifact detection will be performed. Degassing of aquifer will be demonstrated.
This course is a condensed review of current knowledge in science and socio-economy on natural hydrogen, with case studies.
There are no specific requirements for the indoor course, which can be held in any meeting room or by videoconference.
The access to outcrops for the field trip in the Pyrenees Mountain is by road, with short walking distances. No particular danger has been observed (rock falls…), the outcrops are safe.
The course is modular according to the needs, and can be presented in English or French.
If there's a field trip, this program is the ideal configuration. However, the weather may dictate another schedule with for example a day indoor and another outdoor.

Are you a geologist, consultant, manager, investor, journalist or politician who wants to learn about natural hydrogen? The basic and advanced indoor training has been designed for you willing to have an integrated view on the economic, strategic and scientific aspects of natural hydrogen exploration and its perspectives.
Attendees don’t need a specific knowledge of geology but trainers adapt to the level of the audience.
The field trip is more dedicated for geologists in the French Pyrenees. It can be combined with the basic and advanced indoor training.
