Alain has more than 30 years of experience in the Oil industry. He has worked as Data Engineer, Well Site Geologist, Operation Geologist and Production Geologist. During the last ten years, he has been a teacher in charge of various Well Site Geology courses, including on site individual coaching. He has developed a well appreciated tailor-made approach, for various companies such as TOTAL, ENI, HYPERGAS. More recently, he has been thoroughly involved in the development of a technical Certification process, designed for well site and operation geologists, in cooperation with TOTAL and IFP training.

Gilles has more than 15 years of experience in the Oil industry, with more than 50 integrated studies completed. He has worked as Development Geologist for major operator and consulting companies. He has developed integrated workflows, to adapt methods of modeling to fit objectives. Since 2012, he has been thoroughly involved in the development of Reservoir modeling trainings for IFP School and IFP Training.

After more than 20 years of international experience, Sebastien runs its own expertise company. His rich academic background (Universities of Southampton, Kyoto, ISTerre Grenoble, and the ETH of Zurich) allowed him to practice his talents as a geologist, geoscientist, software developer, data manager, and finally as an expert in geomechanics. He was able to develop his expertise by linking structural stress states, geological information acquired at wells, and information related to drilling and mudlogging. Thus, his professional background summarizes a methodology based on the integration of all data. Its operational experience (TotalEnergies, EXCELLENCE LOGGING, etc.) enriched by its R&D projects, allows him to adapt to many industrial contexts, from traditional Exploration & Production settings, to HP/HT wells, or deep geothermal and CCUS projects.

Joan F. Flinch is currently an Independent Consultant and Senior Geoscience Consultant for Elsevier based in Madrid, Spain. Joan received his B. S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Barcelona, Spain in 1988 and 1990 respectively. His M.S. thesis focused on the structural mapping of the southern Pyrenees. He enrolled in the Geology and Geophysics Department at Rice University, receiving his Ph.D. in 1994, directed by Professor A. W. Bally. Before becoming an Independent Consultant, he spent 17 years at Repsol where he held the positions of West Africa New Ventures and Asset Manager, Latin America New Ventures Manager, Geology Manager, Geoscience Discipline Manager and Exploration Quality Advisor. He worked from 1997 to 2004 for Total, in Paris and Pau, France. From 1994 to 1997 he was a consultant geologist for Lagoven (PDVSA Affiliate) in Caracas. Joan has given numerous talks and published papers on the Pyrenees and the Betic Cordillera in Spain, the Moroccan Rif, the Northern Colombia Accretionary Prism, the Eastern Venezuelan fold-and-thrust belt, the Gulf of Paria, the Bolivia Sub-Andean region and the Sierra Leone-Liberia continental margin. He has been teaching several courses on Seismic interpretation and deep-water plays and leading geological field trips.

Dominique Wlodarczyk dispose de 20 ans d'expérience dans l'Industrie Oil & Gaz, et plus particulièrement dans les opérations sur puits (forage, etc.). Elle est une spécialiste passionnée dans les domaines du HSE et de la réglementation dans ce domaine.

Benoit GOTAB est géophysicien de formation et travaille depuis plus de dix ans années sur des grands projets de structuration de données. Avec une double compétence IT et gestion de projet IT&DM, de la rédaction de spécification, au déploiement en production.

He is an advanced seismic interpreter, including sediment fairways identification, deep water sedimentation characterization, sequence stratigraphy and prospect generation and risking. He has worked extensively with well correlation, biostratigraphy, regional prospectivity studies and has managed teams and projects in multiple cultural environments. He has mentored and supervised BSc and MSc students, young professionals and taught several short courses and lectures on these subjects. As part of his career, he worked at Petroleum Development Oman as a Stratigrapher where he was responsible for the Precambrian and Lower Palaeozoic stratigraphy studies and for the scientific management of the palynology laboratory of the company. He followed multiple wells as operational stratigrapher providing real time advice to the well geologists for casing points, TD calls, etc. He also contributed to the biostratigraphic zonation review of the subsurface of Oman. He is affiliated with the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers, the PESGB and founder and member of the Portuguese Association of Geoscientists and Engineers. As a Sedimentologist graduated from the University of Nançy II, Laurent has 21 years of experience. He started his career with Beicip-Franlab and pursued with Statoil in which he was involved in EXP R&D Basin Analysis, Carbonates & Evaporites, siliciclastics group, then moved to the Exploration Excellence department where he provided solution study supports for EXP and PROD. In 2018, he created Terra Geosciences and is involved into regional to local studies for Oil & Gas and New Energy.

As an exploration geochemist graduated from ENSG School (Nancy, France), Yann has 31 years of experience in geochemical exploration, including 20 years with BRGM (French geological survey). West and Central Africa, South America, India, Russia were the main working place for mining exploration, mineral inventories and environmental mining assessment. Currently independent consultant, he mainly works for international mining companies in Western Africa as geochemist, regional exploration leader and exploration data manager.

As a petroleum engineer graduated from the industrial engineering school "Arts et Métiers" and the French Petroleum Institute (Economy), Gildas has for more than 25 years' experience with very diverse types of operating companies on 4 continents, the major TOTAL after his studies, PERENCO the French-British independent company for the majority of his career, PIERIDAE, a Canadian junior company, recently the national NORTH OIL COMPANY as Development Manager in Doha-Qatar, but also for consultancy companies such as BEICIP-FRANLAB. During his assignments, he held operational and engineering positions in the fields of production / well / petroleum engineering, offshore and onshore, with both technical and managerial responsibilities.

Holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Toulouse (1990) and a Master's degree in Computer Sciences from the Institute National Polytechnique of Toulouse (1993). More than 30 years of worldwide experience in Oil & Gas with a special focus on Africa, North and South America, Middle and Far East and East Europe. He has in-depth knowledge of tectonics and deformation and the application of structural geology for added value at basin- to reservoir-scale. He leads and provides advice fully integrated with the essential processes of petroleum system analysis, play fairway definition and prospect risk and resource estimations in line with Play-Based Exploration (PBE) and with Exploration Management System (EMS). At the forefront of new technology developments to innovate in the analysis and interpretation of big data for Geosciences, he is accountable as well for applied teaching, learning and assessment methods for transferring know-how in the realm of the tectonics and structural geology.

As a Petroleum Geologist graduated from IFP-School, Jean-Pierre has 38 years of experience. He started his career with Geoservices, then BP, being involved in geological operations, then basin synthesis studies. Hired by the French Petroleum Institute in 1991, he occupied various positions within IFP-School Petroleum Geosciences master's education programs. From 2006 to 2013, he was appointed Director of the E&P Department. During this period, he also involved himself as team leader of regional studies (South America, Austral Basin) for BEICIP & TOTAL. Lately employed by TOTAL he was posted successively as Geosciences Advisor in Nigeria, then Head of the Strategy Competition & Benchmark team in the Exploration Division in Paris headquarters.

Ludovic Peignard began his career as an exploration geophysicist, involved in many Oil & Gas projects, covering various domains of geosciences. While getting experienced in geosciences, feeling a lack of flexible and swift software solution in the Oil & Gas Industry, Ludovic has developed EarthQuick, a software to act as a companion for Geoscientists. The solution evolved rapidly and let now geoscientists performed usual tasks which are part of their redundant duties, covering a wide range of facilities, from geosciences data loading and interpretation to volumes assessment, passing by mCSEM feasibility studies. From 2016, EarthQuick has also turned to Near Surface issues, keeping the same motto: letting user get straight to the point through simple and intuitive workflows. From 2013, Ludovic has become a geophysicist consultant, a technical software expert and an associate professor in Geophysics at different reference institutions (IFP School, IFP Training, École et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre (EOST), Polytech Sorbonne (UPMC) and École Nationale Supérieure de Géologie (ENSG)). Ludovic graduated M.Sc.'s from the EOST (France) in 2006 and from the IFP School in 2007, major Geophysics.

Martin is an independent consultant assisting customers with geological studies and hydrocarbon prospectivity evaluations from basin to prospect range. Previously, he has worked for Schlumberger for ten years. Martin has conducted and published numerous industry and academic projects around the world, in a variety of different basins and at any level of exploration maturity, from frontier to near-field exploration. Martin also holds an honorary lecturer position with Imperial College London (United Kingdom) where he teaches basin and petroleum systems modelling and supervises PhD and MSc students.

Predictive stratigraphy consultant, 1957, French, more than 35 years of experience in the industry. He served as a clastic sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy advisor with Repsol from 2006 to 2016, supplying internal expertise to exploration and production projects run in both Madrid and affiliates. After studying geology at the Université de Caen in France, he joined the industry in 1981, starting as a seismic surveyor in South Yemen and Gabon with C.G.G. before processing and interpreting seismic data in Massy (France). In 1985, he worked as an exploration geophysicist with Fina Exploration Norway in Stavanger. In 1989, he joined Elf in Paris, in the basin study group. His transfer to their scientific and technical centre in Pau brought him much closer to rocks. Since the early 90's he has described quite a mileage of cores and has dedicated attention and time to trace fossils and ichnofabrics.
